Amila Wanniarachchi is currently a Network Security Consultant for 2e2 (www.2e2.com), an IT managed services and solutions provider in Newbury, Berkshire, United Kingdom. Previously he worked for Virtusa (www.virtusa.com) a leading offshore IT services firm, based in Sri Lanka, India and UK as a Senior Network Engineer.

During his career, he has been responsible for the planning, designing, implementing and maintaining large scale network and security solutions in global enterprises as well as information security for various aspects of business process. Amila has sound knowledge and experience on information security implementations with strong IT infrastructure and project management skills.

Amila  holds a Master's Degree in Information Technology from University of Colombo School of Computing, Sri Lanka and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from Bangalore University, India where his main study and research focus was Computer Networking.

Amila has achieved several highly demand industry certifications including, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)2, Cisco Certified Security Professional (CCSP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) from Cisco Systems Inc., Check Point Certified Security Administrator NGX (CCSA NGX R65) and Check Point Certified Security Principal Associate (CCSPA) from Check Point Software Technologies Ltd and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) from Microsoft Corporation. Also he is awarded Information Systems Security (INFOSEC) Professional title in 2006.  

Amila lives in Reading, Berkshire with his wife Aruni and little daughter Anuji.
